High-level graphic design & branding service for businesses in Cincinnati, Dayton, & Other Ohio areas
Building a sustainable business requires that you create an identifiable brand and that you stand out from your competitors. While many business owners correctly focus on creating a great product, some forget the importance of making themselves memorable. Failing to stand out can mean losing repeat business or failing to convert a potential lead into a customer. We will help you to create a brand that is recognizable. Our Ohio graphic design team will take the time to learn about your business, to identify your goals, and to help you develop materials which reach customers in a way that gets you closer to your goals. We provide a wide range of services and can serve as a “one stop shop” for your graphic & branding needs.
We have offices in Cincinnati and Dayton. We are also able to serve those in Columbus and other parts of the state. Some of the services we offer include:
Branding & Advertising
Your company’s logo is one of the first items that a customer notices. Our graphic artists will work to gain an understanding of your business and create an image which aligns with your goals. We will create a memorable logo which stands out on your website just as easily as it stands out on your business cards or other materials.
Brochures & Promotional Materials
Brochures and pamphlets are a great way to provide potential customers with more information about your products and services. They can also be used to tell the “story” of your company. Such materials, however, must be concise and easily absorbed. We will create a product which meets both of these goals. This, in turn, will help your customers to easily learn more about you and your services.
Flyers & Mailers
Flyers and direct mail remains one of the most effective forms of marketing. Many businesses rely on these methods as a way of reaching new customers. It is important, however, that your printed materials “pop” and stand out, otherwise your audience is likely to quickly throw them away. We will create materials which catch the eye of your audience while simultaneously providing them with meaningful information about your products and services.
Social Media Ads
Many companies advertise on social media. Most, however, do not promote information in a meaningful way. By creating meaningful banners, infographics, and other materials which can be shared online, we help to make your ads “pop.” It is not enough to simply get your name in front of people. You must do so in a way that resonates. We help in this regard.
Restaurant customers consider a menu to be as much a part of the dining experience as is the wait staff. It’s not enough for your menu to simply list your offerings. Instead, it must be visually engaging and make your offerings appealing. Our graphics team will design a menu which highlights your items and make your offerings flow in an easy to follow and appealing way. This will delight the most important critics – your customers.
It is not enough to design materials for a business. You must be able to get them into production. We assist in this regard. We will work with third party services to help your design become reality. Whether you need to print business cards, brochures, or swag, we will help make it happen.
Business Identity & Professional Materials
When starting out, it is important to know where you are going. This is where the idea of “brand identity” comes in. As part of a larger branding package, we will establish styles and guidelines that form the basis for all your materials going forward. This package will also include the design of your logo and other materials that will be used in all aspects of your business.
For many companies, a business card is a first impression. They are given to customers, are given out at network events, and are often the “face” of a business. Our team will design a business card for you that makes your business stand out and which establishes your stature in the community.
Many companies rely on larger presentations which must be made to potential and/or existing customers. Such presentations can be made more useful by using proper fonts, balancing the proper use of imagery, through the inclusion of infographics, and more. We will work to understand the goals of your presentation and will develop materials which will help you meet those goals.
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is especially true when it comes to the creation of infographics. An effective presentation can be used to reduce complex concepts to an easy to understand image. Our team will work to learn the needs of your audience, and to gain an understanding of your goals, so that we may produce infographics that meet those needs and goals.
Submitting a proposal can be stressful. When submitting such a proposal, it is important that you submit information in a way that speaks to your stature. Our designers will work to understand your business, the nature of the proposal, and your audience. This will assist us in designing materials which help you to gain a competitive advantage.
In addition to the services discussed on our website, we also assist with a variety of additional graphic design needs. These can include the design of catalogues, packaging, swag, and more. Contact us today for more information.

F.A.Q. regarding our graphic design services
How much do graphic design services cost?
Working with a graphic designer should be viewed as an investment in your company. A good logo can help you build brand image and brand identity. A good designer can also help you with printed goods (menus, advertisements, business cards, and things of that nature) or digital assets (advertisements, website layout, and presentations). Additional services can include creating pitch decks, newsletters, and more. These are all assets which your company would then own. This is why we say that hiring a designer is not a “spend” for your company – it is an investment to strengthen your brand and make your business the best it can possibly be.
At Modern Website Design, the cost of our graphic design services are covered under one flat fee. This fee includes revisions and providing you with a wide variety of file types, all with no hidden costs. Our team can handle projects at all levels of complexity and will work with you one-on-one to meet your company’s needs. Our prices are competitive, if not less expensive, than other firms and we look forward to working with you. We view the building of a brand as an investment in your business, just like you do.
How long does graphic design take?
Graphic design encapsulates a wide range of detail. From designing logos and advertisements to giving your website layout a special look, graphic design touches on all aspects of your business. Provided materials can even include pitch decks and infographics – both hugely important in getting your brand out there and seen. But, depending on your requirements, the process may also take some time. Our team works all in – so there are no additional costs for revisions, and you receive all the file types you need to use your design in a variety of ways. We do this while providing you with a quality finished product in as short a time as possible.
Creating original designs can be a time-intensive process. The speed at which we get our designs to you depends on a few factors:
- The complexity of your project: Because we are working to provide custom concepts and not something from a template, more complicated designs may take longer to produce than a simpler treatment.
- Ensuring that we have what we need: We pride ourselves on being highly communicative, but to ensure that you have a fast turnaround on your design, we ask that you reply as quickly as possible when we reach out. We want to make sure that you are receiving a product you love in a reasonable amount of time.
In short, the complexity of the design you request is a factor in how quickly we are able to finish your design, as well as how communicative we are as a client-customer team. We aim to produce graphic designs that are as unique as your business. We look forward to creating a one-of-a-kind profile for your business that can be used for advertising, social media, menus, and even T-shirts.
Do you charge for revisions?
Working with a graphic designer is an important part of building a visual brand for both your website and your business, but hourly charges for revisions can really add up. Artists can cost between $65 and $150 an hour, depending on a variety of factors. Each revision can take one or more hours, meaning that your costs can really add up after a while. However we do not work that way – with our focus on constant communication, attention to detail, and all-in-one fees, you will not rack up extra costs the way you would with other providers.
As stated above, our Ohio graphic design team works on a flat fee basis and this fee includes revisions. We do not believe in “surprise” costs or additional charges which were not part of your original quote. We are a highly responsive team and pride ourselves on fast turnarounds These fast turnarounds also include quickly handling any requested revisions. At the end of the day, we want you to view our work as an investment in your company.
Is your graphic design work custom or from template?
A template is a predesigned piece of graphic design where the only aspects that are truly changed are the colors, text, and the size of the asset. It is a great system for if you need something quick that doesn’t need to be truly unique. However, working from a template is very limiting because at the end of the day, there could be someone else out there who has your exact same design. These would be be even worse if they were in the same business as you. Having a unique design allows you to stand out from the crowd and stick in the customer’s mind more easily.
Because all of our work is custom for you, we do not use templates. All of our designs are completely custom from the ground up. We work closely with you to make sure you are receiving a distinguishable treatment for your brand. We want you to stand out and shine with your own original logo and other materials. Our standards of regular contact and communication means that you will get a completely unique piece that will help your company stand out.
While there is nothing wrong with a templated design, the most important part of graphic design is memorability. A good logo should be memorable but not seem too close to another logo. By creating a completely unique logo (or other graphic work) with our team, you will be getting a one-of-a-kind way to display your business to potential and returning customers. Let us help you create a full package that is unlike any other.
What graphic file types will we provide?
Different graphics files can be used for different purposes in your business. Having access to all of the different file types makes it easier for you, as a business owner, to do exactly what you want to do. Creating newsletters, printing business cards, and doing advertisements – both digital and online – becomes easy if you have the right file types. Not all graphic designers provide you with all of the various file types, but because we view this project as an investment in your company, we provide you with a wide variety.
Upon completing your project, depending on the nature of the work performed, we can provide the following file types: JPG and PNG (ideal for web usage, email, social media, or any other digital purposes); PDF and EPS (this format is great for print – business cards, flyers, advertisements, etc.); native files, such as AI, PS, and ID (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign – for when you want the original, unaltered file).. We want to provide you with everything we can to make our design for you a success.
Having the right sized graphics for social media is important. An advertisement on social media can show that a friend has endorsed a product, and word-of-mouth (even digitally) still carries quite a bit of weight for consumers making informed decisions. A business card is still a great way to end (or begin) an in-person conversation. Different formats (online versus printed) require different file types and, by providing you with a variety of file formats of your materials, we are empowering you to make the absolute most of your investment in graphic design.
Do I own the copyright to my graphics?
Copyright is a way to protect what you have created. Per the law, a copyright protects “original work of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression.” In this case, the copyright would protect the artwork of your logo, if you wanted to print it on T-shirts (like for company picnics or have it embroidered on work shirts), the copyright would protect that as well. But, since you didn’t design the logo, who owns the copyright to your logo?
When working with Modern Website Design’s graphic design team, at the end of the process, you own the copyright to the final designs we produce for you – you paid for them. You should view your graphic design work with us as an investment in your business. Since our work is an investment in your business, you own it completely – copyright included. By owning your own logo and design, you are empowered to do whatever you want with it.
Can I trademark my logo or design?
Yes. Here at Modern Website Design, we see graphic design and branding as an investment in your business. Since what we provide you is yours – meaning that you own it completely – you should absolutely trademark it. By trademarking your design you are protecting yourself from people using your mark to market their own businesses.
You may wish to trademark your logo or design because it signifies your business. It is part of how your company is seen and it is a way for customers to quickly and easily identify your product. Further, by protecting your design, you add an extra layer of security to your business. Having a trademarked logo or design can prevent other companies from creating similar logos to mimic your business. Spending the time – and money – to trademark your logo and name may help protect your investment in your business in the long run.
Can I edit my graphics after they’ve been completed?
It may be that once you receive your designs, you may need to make some changes to fit certain formats. Something may need to be sized down for business cards or the T-shirt printer you have contracted only accepts graphics in a specific format. We are available to help you with edits along the way. Our commitment to regular communication and working with you to produce a logo you are happy with extends to edits as well – we want you to be happy and have a strong logo that says who you are, and truly feels like an investment in your business.
We are happy to help you make any edits or tweaks you need to the final graphics. Furthermore, we send you all of the native files – the Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign files, so you’re able to make any further edits in the program itself should you choose. We also do save a copy of the files on our end, but once they are done, they are completely yours. We look forward to helping you create the design of your dreams to promote your business both digitally and in print. We are available to answer any questions you may have about the graphic design process.
